show tables with count off records in each table

Good Morning

I am using mysql 4.1.14 (no information schema I believe)
via an odbc 3.51 link into a access database.

I would like to get a list of all the tables with the number of records in each table.

I want to use a pass pass through query so the processing is done on the mysql server.

any idea on how I can achieve this.

prehaps a nested query using show tables!!! some how
