Help with restoring MAXDB DB from network drive

Hi,

Windows 2003 server / MAXDB 7.6.00.25

I am trying to restore a DB from a remote network drive mounted as z:\ to another MAXDB instance but it is failing with a -903 host file i/o error. Both DB's have been installed with the same AD user and all MAXDB services are running as that AD user. I can't seem to backup to remote drives either. Is this just not possible or am I missing something.
