Row Level Security - FGAC

I am seriously considering the move to MySQL from Oracle.

The only Oracle functionality I use that I cannot easily duplicate is Fine Grain Access Control, which allows for Row Level security. This is used to limit the rows a particular user can work with based on one of the columns value.

Does MySQL offer an alternative?

I've considered using VIEWs, but that will get cumbersome quickly and won't be secure as rouge data would be allowed.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
