MySQL versions

I'm in the process of a conversion from Access to MySQL. I initially ran into some rights issues with 4.0.20d on my test box, so I installed 4.0.18 and then upgraded to 20d. The version showing in WinMySQLAdmin is 4.0.20a. Is that normal, or do you think I might have a bad installation?
