Running queries on server side?

I've run into a stump and wanted to get some advice. I have my tables and all access static data imported into MySQL, and they are running fine!

I'm using Navicat to communicate with a SQL server to handle data importing, etc. Here's my problem.

I am trying to build my forms and reports from the queries done on MySQL. Is there a way to link directly to queries built on server side? If I build the record source for the reports as a pass-through query, the actual data is still be worked on IN access and it takes forever!

Thanks in advance :)
