character @002d after migration

Hello,

i am managing a application with mysql as database( with is a good choice! )

The database name is like db-mydbname.

And, i have to migrate from one server to another.

The point is, that after migration on the new server, the database name ( file ) on the server ( not in phpmyadmin for instance ) are
db@002dmydbname instead of db-mydbname.

This is annoying because my dump scripts are not working any more...

So my question is :
- is this normal?
- is this a locate issue? ( i'm trying to put everything in uft8 )
- How can i mange to recover '-' sign instead of @002d?

I am not at work today so i don't have the exact version of mysql 5.
The server OS is linux ( from gentoo to SLES11 )

Thank for your helful replies.

Sébastien
