Complied DOS program access to MySQL Server

Hi All,

I was wondering if ANYONE has ever managed to get a PURE DOS application talking to a MySQL Remote server?

EXAMPLE


DOS Application ----> TCP/IP ----> MySQL Server


I ask as I have a very good working FreeBASIC application that runs fine on Windows and LInux (new hardware) but I have loads of old Computers that I want to use as information terminal (eg price checking terminals etc)

I did read once that they was a mysql client library for DOS is this still available or does someone have it in their archives?
