regarding select query

I have to select the cateogry name with the predefine cateogry for e.g 38 and i will get the cateogry name and parent category from that now i have to select the categoryname which has category id same as i have got in first query i.e, parent category id. so i want name i have got from both the queries i.e, category name one from the first query and cateogry name two from the second query.

I want this in a single query. i.e, i want the first category name and second category name in the single fetch.
