Gmandava,

I had basically the same problem as you are experiencing...don't know if you found a fix / workaround but what corrected the problem for me was updating to the lastest JDBC connector release.

Once you have downloaded the update, extract the mysql-connector-java-5.0.5-bin.jar into the java/lib directory under your MySQL GUI Toolkit directory. Hopefully this time when try and migrate the MS Access db it should no longer present the error you stated above.
