Thanks for writing in our forums!
Row deletion was introduced along with the Edit Data feature since version 1.1.0 of the product. What version do you have installed?

In order to delete you need to open an Edit Session, then delete the rows as you would in Excel (select the whole row by clicking the row header containing the row number, then right-clicking it and selecting Delete from the context menu). Doing that will delete the Excel row and when you commit your data the rows will be deleted in the corresponding MySQL table.

I agree what you have been doing so far is not elegant.
Please let us know if row deletion is not working for you.
