Thanks for you question . I got to know about SOUNDEX ...

How about this one ...

Table1
ID Color
1 white
2 orange
3 blue
4 brown
5 green
6 black
7 yellow
8 pink
9 ... ect

Suppose if you want to get '5' for 'grreen'

mysql>select ID
from Table1
where Color='grreen' OR SOUNDEX(Color)=SOUNDEX('grreen');


(Use a variable instead of 'grreen' )
