mysqld.exe
Total newbie here,
Just installed typical on WinXP.
Have Norton Firewall.
When trying "mysqlshow" command at cmd prompt as part of the post install setup and test norton complains that mysqld.exe is trying to send a UDP out. I want ot use MySQL as a development environment on one, local machine. But when I block this the mysqlshow returns an error about port 3306. I have norton set up to allow MySQL access to 3306.
What the heck is mysqld.exe sending and why? Cant seem to find any info on this in the docs.
