what you are asking for is a display issue, you would not use mysql for that but use coldfusion, php, perl etc. etc. to do that.

can you show one example of a user, with all their details in the three tables that creates too many rows in the output? or do you only mean there is too much repeating details in the output? if the latter see: http://www.guelphdad.wefixtech.co.uk/sqlhelp/catsubcat.shtml to get an idea of how to use PHP to output only specific information instead of repeating it.
