laptop calls it a quirk; I call it a kludge -- pretty much the same.
How many rows will you have? There are even faster solutions, but they get more complicated.
As for speed... My solution should be Order(N), requiring 1-2 full table scans; fine for thousands of rows. The "traditional" solution that laptop describes is Order(N*N), which is fine for a few hundred rows; iffy at a thousand rows; and a cure for insomnia for a million rows.
