MySQL died after installing apt

I have a Debian web server running and usually check for updates and upgrades. Afew weeks ago I notced that there where pakages held back. So one day figured why not try to manualy install them. I see now that I shouldnt, coz my SQL server will not start after that. And since Im a n00b I dont know where to start to figure out how to fix it.
So any suggestions are very welcome!
