I have a client who has an interface to his database for selling product, reporting on said product sales, and updating/adding items to product line....that type of stuff. His customer need customer access while his employees need "manager" access. They currently have the interface built in asp and I'm converting it for them. Which in and of itself is a larger job than expected...the previous dba did a lousy job setting up an efficient db...and the interface is run through a .dll that is supposedly has all the queries written within, but it's not all it's 'cracked up to be'. It's a very poorly written db and interface that looks to be purposely written poorly to keep him/herself working.
