Re: Problem with LOAD_FILE

As I stated, 5.5.24.

I've changed permissions to 777, 666, whatever, it doesn't make any difference. Until the file is actually owned by the mysql user - it won't load. Things I've found state that this seems to be some peculiarity of Linux (Ubuntu?), and it's been happening since 2008.

I should also note that whatever is going on does not seem to affect LOAD_FILE_INFILE, just LOAD_FILE.

Please note, I'm logged into Linux as root, and running the mysql command shell as the root user - so it's not a permissions issue of the user I'm logged in as. It appears to be an issue of the mysqld daemon.
