?! Not a good way to remove installed software. Neither is manual editing of the registry. Hacking isn't a good method of maintaining an RDBMS. What's your objection to using Control Panel/Uninstall?
Now you appear to have parts of the first installation plus a second installation. If I were you, I'd use Control Panel to delete the first, and use the Services applet to delete the first MySQL service you created before orphaning it.
