Thanks Priscila. I read that this morning. I actually can afford to do that but I also read that I can use a "Flush tables" command if I can not afford to do that. So I was trying to figure out how to put the "Flush tables" command into a Linux Bash script so I could to the flush and then do the repair commands all at once. Is it possible to do this if the script supplies the mysql root password?
Another note. After reading a bit of your first document, I just checked the /var/log/mysqld.log and there is no message "restarted mysqld" message.
