I have a similar problem
when I do this command:
mysql -h localhost -p
I get:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'xxx'
where xxx is me
I installed on my Mint PC (client and server running on same machine)
As far as I know, I am the administrator.
There is no root password.
is there a GUI that administers MySql?
Do I have to change my ID to startup MySql server?
How do I join the newbie group?
The page is not rendering the list of groups so the JOIN button won't work
