MyDQL 5.7.33 -> MySQL 8.0
I am currently on Ubuntu 18.04 with MySQL 5.7.33. I plan to migrate to Ubuntu 20.04 which has MySQL 8.0 I plan to do a clean install, i.e., backup my current system, blow it away with the install of 20.04, install all my applications (I have a list and reinstall procedure), copy my home directory back (the profiles for email, browser, etc.). If I copy my MySQL profiles and configuration files, will these work with 8.0, or are there some problems with this approach for MySQL?
