Mysql Server and Workbench 8.0.30 Protol mismatch
New install of MySQL Server 8.0.30-0ubuntu0.22.04.1 ((Ubuntu)) running on Mint 21. Both are running on the same machine.
Server log shows clean startup. Certificate files are installed correctly on server and client and appear to be correct.
Non-SSL connection works fine, both locally and remotely. However despite trying every fix I have found on the Internet any attempt to connect on :33060 over SSL results in an error message:-
"Protocol mismatch; server version = 11, client version = 10".
I have enabled and disabled the bindings in the config file in various combinations and none work.
I'm using the same machine only for bench testing and before deploying.
When this works I will proceed to (try) to implement with a home-brewed application which is working satisfactorily using earlier (hosted) version of MySQL server.
Is it possible a problem in the certificate files could be the issue?
OpenSSL verify test works without issue.
Thanks for reading.
