User/Database Non-Responsive

Whenever I log in via my user and it seems to hang there. So I log in MySQL -u username -p password database and below is all that is shown, I type a command and end it with a semicolon and nothing happens. This is not the case with root.

I am using MySQL Ver 8.0.31 for Linux on x86_64 (MySQL Community Server - GPL) on Ubuntu 18.04.
