Best Practices for Managing Media Data in MySQL for Video Editing Apps?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been exploring the backend requirements for apps that deal with large media files, like video editing applications. While researching, I came across tools like PowerDirector, which handle a lot of user data and project storage. This got me thinking about how such apps might use databases like MySQL to efficiently manage and retrieve project files, user settings, and other data.

Does anyone have insights or experience with using MySQL for apps that process and store media files? Specifically, I’m curious about database structures or optimization techniques that can help improve performance for apps with heavy read/write operations. Any tips or best practices would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!
