I was recently evaluating Gupta SQLBase 9.0.1 and their JDBC driver and it
appears to be lacking support for some ciritical API methods such as:

DatabaseMetaData.getCatalogs
ResultSet.getBigDecimal
ResultSetMetaData.getColumnLabel

There may well be others. Their documentation says that if the method isn't supported it will
just throw an exception stating so. Unfortunately they don't say exactly which JDBC API methods
are unsupported. If I were a paying customer I would submit a bug and ask them to address
these shortcomings (and possibly more) quickly.
