Hi,
Wasn't really under consideration but the main problem with this is that
the cost of evaluating of the partition function will be fairly high since
geometry columns are stored as BLOB's in the database. Apart from this
there are no specific technical reasons of not supporting it that I can come
up with (BLOB's as partition function fields isn't supported for the moment).

Do you have any nice examples of how one could use it?
