Fulltext index disabled after insert...select..

The SQL code is like this:

CREATE TABLE TBL_TMPFULLTEXTCOLUMNS
(
COL_TEXTID INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL,
COL_TEXT MEDIUMTEXT NOT NULL,
COL_TITLE VARCHAR(256) NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (COL_TEXTID),
FULLTEXT IDX_TITLE_TEXT (COL_TITLE, COL_TEXT)
) ENGINE = MyISAM,
DELAY_KEY_WRITE = 1;

INSERT IGNORE TBL_TMPFULLTEXTCOLUMNS (COL_TEXTID, COL_TEXT, COL_TITLE)
SELECT t.COL_TEXTID, t.COL_TEXT, t.COL_TITLE
FROM ...;

Then 'show index from TBL_TMPFULLTEXTCOLUMNS' shows that IDX_TITLE_TEXT is disabled. I need to run 'alter table enable keys' to enable the full text index.

Is this a bug or designed behavior?
