Problem with license plate earching
Hello,
we have an application for car dealers that store records with license plate information. The Ducth license plates look like NN-CC-CC where N=Numeric, C=Characters.
Now we try to find records back by searching on the plate. Part of the query looks like:
SELECT * FROM CarTable
WHERE
(MATCH (LicensePlate) AGAINST '+81-LZ-RN*' IN BOOLEAN MODE)
This returns nothing. I understand this because we use + and - that are translated as AND / NOT
We have tried without the IN BOOLEAN MODE flag, also tried like
SELECT * FROM CarTable
WHERE
(MATCH (LicensePlate) AGAINST '"81-LZ-RN'"))
Still no results.
Is there anyone who can help me to solve this problem so that we can use the full text capabilities on license plates?
With kind regards
