Access denied when setting up MySQL
I am setting up MySQL on windows and am having trouble with access.
mysql -u root gives me this error:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@localhost' (using password:NO)
mysqld --install gives me this error:
Install/Remove of the Service Denied!
I cannot set the root password either....
and so far, have not set a root password.
Any help?
