weird thing... I've recently downloaded MySQL and had no problems at all. Al services are up, under WinXP Pro. I think you have an external problem (ie. I stupidly couldn't start services cause i haven't download the ODBC connector.)...
(call 1-800-UCANTTALK if you think that I have a bad spelling... but please be mercyfull, english is not my language..)
