Access denied to mysql database using w2K professional

Hi

I have installed mysql 4.0.21 on w2k professional, I can start and stop the server and check how many databases are contained therein. But I cannot gain access to the mysql database, I am unable to create a database as the ODBC@localhost is denied access to do this. Neither can I grant privileges or set up any users.


I desperately need help on how to configure mysql with w2k Pro so do the aforementioned.

I need a fools guide on this .........

Desperatley in need of help. .......please......
