mysql trying to use libtinfo.so.5 on centos 8 instead of libtinfo.so.6

Hi,
I installed MariaDB 10.5.9 on CentOS 8 and started with mysqld_safe successfully but when trying to run mysql, I get the following error:

mysql: error while loading shared libraries: libtinfo.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

What I am not sure is why is mysql trying to use libtinfo.so.5 instead of libtinfo.so.6 that is on CentOS 8.

I dont want to create a symlink name libtinfo.so.5 pointing to libtinfo.so.6 or copy libtinfo.so.5 from a different server either.

Any thoughts of why that is?
Appreciate any response in advance.
