mySQL MacOS Upgrade

The installer .dmg only seems to have an install option and does not attempt to migrate an existing 8.x database to the newly installed mySQL. Likewise there does not seem to be any documentation on the upgrade steps for MacOS users.

Surely there must be something for us Mac users ?
