I am no expert, I have been trying to do the same (put an access db into mysql). You can edit from command line after launching mysql in windows dos window, but who would want to, especially if you are a whiz at ms access. I recommend using phpmyadmin to administor commands to copy or edit tables. I created 1 table from my access db using phpmyadmin, then created all the others using sql window in php. save all your work in a scratch text file so you can quickly make changes and re-paste into sql window while debugging sql code.
