Hello friends,

I may be posting to wrong thread, but please bear with me and help me.

I am working in a company, we are using mysql 5.0.23
last week i and my senior had small debate about the sending a query in binary
format to mysql server.

i sad its wrong and cannot be done.
every query, command, script is transferred as ansistring or text

he says, what is the use of database server if it cannot take the
parameterized query in binary format.
he says, it does take it in binary format, which i think is wrong.

he thinks its the waste of processing and performance lag, while sending a
query in text to db server and db server than converts it to binary.

please to mysql forum, if u guys can send some links stating the whether it is possible or not, and some kindly provide some explanation to this.

yours truly,

jatin shah
