Connecting MySQL to Ruby problem

Hi
I read this link :

and from it I go this link :
http://blog.mmediasys.com/2009/07/06/getting-started-with-rails-and-mysql/

and did same things that author said but when I type

rails mysqlapp --database=mysql

nothing happen but author said that in this step ruby connect to MySQL.
If someone can , exactly explain me after that I go install rail and mysql , what should I do ?
