Hello,

yes, that's true; but I was refering to for example, in an other machine (RH 7.3 - MySQL-server-4.1.21-0.glibc23):

mysql 15413 0.0 1.1 76072 47652 ? S Aug24 15:24 /usr/sbin/mysqld
mysql 15415 0.0 1.1 76072 47652 ? S Aug24 16:34 /usr/sbin/mysqld
mysql 15416 0.0 1.1 76072 47652 ? S Aug24 0:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld
mysql 15417 0.0 1.1 76072 47652 ? S Aug24 0:02 /usr/sbin/mysqld
mysql 15418 0.0 1.1 76072 47652 ? S Aug24 0:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld
mysql 15419 0.0 1.1 76072 47652 ? S Aug24 0:13 /usr/sbin/mysqld

it creates a lot of childrens. Instead in this Debian server with MySQL compiled, I've only one process. Is this normal?

Regards,
Alvaro.
