Problem Running Two instances of same version of MySQL server on same machine

I already have a Mysql 5.1 server running, now I tried to run the same server on another port, but I get the following error

090807 17:22:24 [ERROR] Can't start server : Bind on unix socket: Permission denied
090807 17:22:24 [ERROR] Do you already have another mysqld server running on socket: /home/user/mysql/mysql.sock

I have modified the necessary parameters in the config file for this new server and the server which is running already (first server) is using the default port with its own config file.

Please help how to overcome this error message.
