is anyone out there?

i desperately need help.

i run 4 separate instances of mysql on this machine and all 4 of them are trying to use as much CPU as possible (basically taking 100% of the machine's CPU resources between all of them)

mysql 722 29.1 0.6 45900 12436 ? S Jul09 1991:07 /usr/local/mysql/libexec/mysqld --basedir=/usr/local/mysql --da
mysql 725 12.7 1.0 82572 21084 ? S Jul09 868:09 /usr/local/mysql/libexec/mysqld --basedir=/usr/local/mysql --dat
mysql 731 42.7 1.8 80044 38156 ? S Jul09 2920:10 /usr/local/mysql/libexec/mysqld --basedir=/usr/local/mysql --da
mysql 733 47.3 1.4 58024 28972 ? S Jul09 3233:11 /usr/local/mysql/libexec/mysqld --basedir=/usr/local/mysql --da

something is going on.

does anyone here run debian on amd64? or hell, anyone compiling mysql on amd64 - what compile options do you use? i suppose it would more or less be universal.

or does anyone have any ideas where else i can look for help? i'm about to go look for debian mailing lists/forums as well..

please reply to my thread about mysql usage - i'd like to collect some data! thanks!
