build rpm with modified path

Hi,

I donwloaded the source rpm MySQL-5.6.17-1.el6.src.rpm. I am able to compile my own binaries rpms. But, they use standards paths. If i try to modify some path with rpmmacros like _prefix or _var, i get an error message about missing dependencies.

What is the method ?
