ODBC connector for windows with java getObject always got null

Hi Everyone
I'm a new myssql user.
I had mysql 5.5.16 install on my window .
And connection by ODBC connector with MySql ODBC 5.1driver.
When I use java to read data and use getObject() to read.
I always get a null vale.

If I change to JDBC connector , I work perfectly.
Do I miss something at setting on ODBC connector?
