Funny thing is, I can't see any error on server logs when this happens. Just on clients. So I assumed it would have to do with client odbc driver. Due to the error only occuring sproradically on our production system, I can't really debug the cause or source.

@Karel: Thank you for the Info! Would you be so nice to ask your sysadm what makes him think it will be resolved in 5.6.11 or if he has a reference to a already submitted bug?
