How to remove  in the SQL database
Hi after a systems crash i had to reinstall a 75 Meg sql data file form backup, a years work and happy to have the back up.
However now everywhere in the database before the £ sign as i am in the UK i have

£ I just want £

How do i get rid of the is  character in all the mails and showing before all the £ signs?
I changed the character set to

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

from
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />

but the  still shows

I see the code is &#194; for the  character

any ideas what else i can try

Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

Norvin
