I see that there are a couple of proxies for MySQL:
MySQL-Proxy
DBIx::MyServer

Will MySQL-Proxy have the same/similar types of features as the other Perl-based mysql proxy DBIx::MyServer?
http://dev.mysql.com/tech-resources/articles/dbixmyserver.html
http://search.cpan.org/~philips/DBIx-MyServer-0.41/lib/DBIx/MyServer.pm

For example:
Ability to simultaneously aggregate information from different databases such as PostgreSQL, SQLite, Oracle, etc. and present it through the MySQL client interface?

Ability to issue shell commands such as 'df' and have their ouput presented via a mysql client?
