you should *NOT* use the ODBC driver. ODBC is the worst database interface ever. Please use our optimized Connector/.Net instead. You can download it from here
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/5.2.html
Never use ODBC for anything, except you do not have another choice.
