Alter script

Every time I perform an alter script, it always generates a change to one of my tables (drops an index and recreates it as a unique index) - even though there is no change (it is defined as a unique index in my create script I compare against). Every time I run an alter I need to strip out this change. Any ideas as to why this keeps coming up as a change? Also, I have several other unique indexes defined that do not produce this problem. I am using OSS ver 5.0.22 rev 3118.
