Can workbench behave like Query Browser?

I'm probably being very thick here - can I use Workbench to connect to a server and run queries against a database, and see the results in a grid (and all the other stuff in QB)?
I read something, somewhere (a mysql bug report iirc) that seemed to imply that Workbench was a replacement for QB, but this doesn't seem to be the case...
