Can't connect MySQL server on 127.0.0.1 (10060)
Hello, I was happily working with MySQL Workbench 5.2.40 when I decided to try to install WAMP. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so:

I addition, my attempts to install WAMP has messed with my MySQL installation. I can no longer connect to MySQL via the command line or with the Workbench. When I try to do so with the latter I get the message: Can't connect MySQL server on 127.0.0.1 (10060)
The service for MySQL is started and I see that 3306 is in use by MySQLD.exe in my process list. I have also been researching this error for hours and haven't found an answer that gets me back to where I was.
The only solution I see is to uninstall MySQL and reinstall it. However, that seems kind of extreme. Does anyone have an easier remedy? Thanks.
