Thanks for your investigation of the problem. Log from Process monitor looks fine. I don't see any problem there. Only this dump is nothing good ...
Do you have any possibility to check Workbench on other Windows 10 installation? I've checked on two different windows 10 and seems everything is fine.
Is it possible that the problem is related to Visual C++ redistributable. Could you try reinstall Visual C++ redistributable package?
