Then like it or not, you're the DBA.
And when it comes to database maintenance, GUI comes not first but last---especially if you're a beginner.
For each task, write out the pseudocode. Then try the code in the query editor or in the mysql client program. Then try porting the cmds to a script, or to multiple scripts, and debug them.
Once you know how to do all that, you can address the WorkBench scripting module.
